Call or come in and chat with Mia our amazing seamstress that puts her heart int everything she does.

From hemming dresses (formal or casual) and denim, to tapering shirts and pants, adjusting waists, sewing patches, adding buttons and replacing zippers - Mia handles it ALL with care and precision.

About First Line Threads

In 2024, Connie Di Stasi focused full time on her brand, Last Minute Mom Creations. Inspired by family and friends in first line fields, she saw the Mid-Hudson region’s need for a customer-focused source for first responder uniforms and custom tailoring - built for comfort, durability and a professional appearance. First Line Threads was born.

Meet Connie

A Highland, NY native, Connie has always blended creativity, heart, and a love of customer service. As the founder of Last Minute Mom Creations, she designs affordable, custom gifts and apparel with her motto: “You think it, I create it.” Inspired by her roots, family, and community, Connie brings every idea to life with passion and care.

Meet Mia

Mia is a recent graduate from the University of Rhode Island, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Design, with a minor in Public Relations. She has wanted to be a fashion designer since 4th grade and feels as though her education and experience have given her a strong foundation in fashion, garment construction, textiles, design, and the many details that go into creating and perfecting a garment. I’ve always loved the process of taking a piece of clothing and transforming it into something that feels uniquely yours. I’m excited to begin my post grad professional journey as a seamstress here at First Line Threads, where I’m continuing to grow my skills and gain valuable experience in precise workmanship, thoughtful alterations, and custom pieces while creating a fit that makes every client feel comfortable and confident. I look forward to helping each person feel their very best in the clothes they wear and building many long lasting relationships with people in the community.
